About igms.com Popular Products and Services?
iGMS is a property management company that offers a variety of services to hosts and rental owners. They help with tasks such as property maintenance, marketing rental properties, managing property listings on third-party websites like Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com, screening prospective tenants/guests, general guest communication, overseeing check-ins and checkouts, property inspections after checkouts, collecting payment from guests, organizing the cleaning crew, restocking supplies, and maintaining detailed records of payments, taxes, occupancy, issues reported, etc. They also assist in creating and implementing pricing strategies, keeping property owners informed about the performance of their rental properties, and staying up to speed with legal requirements to ensure compliance.
In addition to these services, iGMS also offers an Integration Marketplace where users can connect their favorite OTA and third-party services for better property management.
However, reviews about iGMS are mixed. Some users find it a handy tool for managing short-term rentals, praising its ability to save countless hours on availability management and calendar syncing across short-term rental platforms. Others have reported issues with double-bookings, unreliable software, and poor customer support.

Can I use iGMS for long-term rentals?
Yes, you can use iGMS for long-term rentals. Airbnb long-term rentals are becoming an increasingly popular hosting strategy thanks to more travelers opting to “live anywhere” while they work remotely. According to Airbnb, a regular short-term stay is fewer than 28 days. Once a stay becomes 28 days or longer, it will count as long-term or monthly Airbnb rentals. However, not all rentals on Airbnb offer long-term bookings, as hosts decide whether to make their properties available for longer stays. The reasons for renting might also differ between short and long-term stays. Short-term renters usually look for a quick break or vacation. They generally return home, once their booking is over. On the other hand, long-term Airbnb rentals tend to attract people who are traveling for work (like medical professionals) or study purposes. Lately, long-term Airbnbs have also found favor among remote workers. In this case, the guest is not necessarily traveling to the destination for work, but rather to escape from the mundane while working remotely. With the right strategy and systems in place, advertising long-term Airbnb rental options can help hosts to boost occupancy and generate consistent rental income.
About igms.com Payment Method?
iGMS is a platform that helps manage invoices for various vacation rental platforms. For platforms like Airbnb and Vrbo, invoicing is automatically processed by the parent platform, meaning that any changes to an invoice cannot be done via iGMS. However, for Booking.com and direct booking channels, payment processing and invoice management have different mechanisms and invoicing can be adjusted via iGMS.
Hosts can charge their guests by credit cards, cash, or by using mixed methods. For instance, a reservation can be paid for online, while additional services can be charged upon guests’ arrival by cash. If you want to collect online payments for the reservations from Booking.com and manual direct bookings, you need to connect your Stripe account to iGMS. Once integrated, the invoice will be automatically generated when the reservation has been created.
For Booking.com reservations, you need to set Stripe as the payment processing gateway in your iGMS account. Once it’s done, iGMS starts automatically generating invoices for every new reservation from Booking.com. For manual direct reservations, you need to enter all the data needed for a manual booking on a reservation card. The invoice will be immediately built up by the system.
It’s not possible to edit payout information for Booking.com reservations, however, you can edit fees and taxes even after the invoice has been paid. The reservation’s invoice will show its current status: Paid status signifies that a guest has successfully paid for a booking. Unpaid status means that iGMS has initiated a payment and sent an invoice, but a guest did not complete the transaction yet. Overpaid status means that a client has overpaid.
How do I connect my Stripe account to iGMS?
To connect your Stripe account to iGMS, follow these steps:
- From the main menu, go to the Profile section and open the Payments tab.
- Click the Connect button. You will be redirected to your Stripe profile.
- If you are logged out from your Stripe profile, you should sign in first to proceed.
- Select the Stripe account you’d like to use as a payment gateway via the Switch radio button.
- Confirm the integration with iGMS by clicking the Connect my Stripe account button.
You will see the connected Stripe account credentials in the Payment tab. Once you have successfully integrated Stripe with iGMS, you can collect partial or full payments from Booking.com reservations and direct bookings. If you would like to change your Stripe account, you should first disconnect the existing one and then connect the new account. For security reasons, only account holders can control settings for the payment gateway, e.g. connect or disconnect a Stripe account from iGMS. Team members can access and manage invoices only.
